Pluckers Profit Sharing Card Program PDF Print E-mail

Pluckers wants to help raise money for Cedar Park Youth League!

At Pluckers, we choose to focus our marketing efforts by partnering with organizations that benefit the community. For the past several years, we've worked with youth athletic leagues throughout the greater Austin area and have had great success raising money for their programs. This is the third year that Pluckers has sponsored CPYL.

Here's how it works: This season, each CPYL family will sign up for a Pluckers profit share card. (These cards can be obtained from your team manager) Any time CPYL families dine at any of the five Austin area Pluckers locations, they will receive a 10% discount and Pluckers will donate 10% of the food and non-alcoholic beverage purchases back to CPYL! All they have to do is present the profit share card with the CPYL logo sticker on it and Pluckers will take care of the rest!

Pluckers has five Austin area locations:

  1. Lakeline Mall
  1. Round Rock
  1. Burnet and 183
  1. West campus
  1. South Lamar

The profit share card will also make CPYL families eligible for Pluckers Club Lite benefits which include a free dessert on birthdays and quarterly food and drink specials. The profit share cards cannot be used in conjunction with personal Pluckers Club cards or when paying with a gift card.

Bring the whole team after a game or bring your buddies just for fun...the more you eat at Pluckers the more support you raise for CPYL!

CPYL Badge Policy PDF Print E-mail
Written by Brian Naab
Tuesday, 09 February 2010 11:04
Beginning last fall CPYL initiated a new mandatory certification policy for all managers, coaches, and parents wishing to help out in the dugout or the field of play during games.  The certification is designed to increase awareness and understanding of the league’s mission, policies, and rules of the game, so that the maximum learning environment is created not only for the players, but for coaches, managers, and parents alike.  In addition, it is designed as an additional safeguard to protect our children.

This is a requirement only for managers, coaches, and parents who will be helping on the field or in the dugout during games. If you fall into one of these categories, please fill out the Assistant application so a background check can be performed before the certification training.

The certification will be an annual requirement in addition to the background checks already performed on the managers each season.  The league will also be running a background check for all assistant coaches and parent badge applicants prior to approval and issuance.  CPYL has purchased a badge machine and will be issuing them to all certified managers, coaches, and parents who may participate in dugout or on the field during the course of a game.  The badges MUST be worn at all times while acting in this capacity.  Anybody found without a badge will be asked to move outside of the field and dugout area for the remainder of the game.  The only allowable exception will be made for a parent checking on an injured player.

The Spring 2010 certification training will be held on Saturday, 2/6 from 9:00 - 12:00.  A make up training session will be held Wednesday, 2/10 from 6:00 - 9:00. Both sessions will be held at the CPYL complex.  The league encourages as many potential assistant coaches, team moms, and parents to attend to ensure there is enough help for every team in case of absences within the normal coaching staff during the course of a season.  Note:  the softball certification will be conducted only during the make-up session on Wednesday, 2/10.

The league believes this certification process will improve the experience of the families at CPYL and appreciates your support and understanding of this new policy.

Thank you,

Brian Naab

CPYL President
