The Wolf Pack 11u Select Baseball Team of Austin, TX will be holding our final Tryouts for two new players at Triple Play Sportsplex on Field #1 in Georgetown, TX from 6:00pm sharp till 7:30pm on the following dates:
Thursday, February 11th, Tuesday, February 16th, and Thursday, February 18th.

Are you tired of “Daddy Ball”?
We have a paid Head Coach, Bill Beane, with a superb track record of accelerating development of players and preparing them for high school baseball.

Are you tired of “Drill Instructor Coaching” where yelling and punishment is demeaning to your son?
We believe that every boy and parent deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. We do not resort to tough-guy tactics to attempt to bring out the best in each player. Instead we use clear, concise communications and demonstrations, along with encouragement through the power of words.

Are you tired of sporadic and last minute changes in your practice locations and schedule?
We have reserved an outdoor field at Triple Play Sportsplex every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00pm till 7:30pm for the entire spring season. When the weather doesn’t cooperate, we simply move inside to the batting cages and/or pitching tunnels.

Are you tired of your son not getting opportunities to play multiple positions or to pitch?
We develop every player to play 2 or more positions during practices, scrimmage games, and Saturday pool-play games. Those who have demonstrated the most ability to play a specific position will be given the opportunity to play that position in Sunday tournament games. We believe every player should be taught to pitch; coached correctly, it develops their self-confidence which rolls over into their playing of other positions as well as their batting. When ready, they get to pitch in tournament games. We will always set the player’s health and safety as our first priority, and we will not overuse any pitcher. We work with local high school baseball coaches to make sure your son will be a well-trained, conditioned, versatile player to give him the best chance for future success and his love of the game.

Are you tired of poor team/parent communications and being left in the dark?
We pride ourselves on frequent and open communications and on our organization skills. Everyone is kept abreast of what we’re doing and why.

Do you really believe that the all-too-typical insanity of select baseball accomplishes its objectives?
Our goal is to make this a fun and sane family experience where each player receives instruction in the proper fundamentals to improve their ability, versatility and baseball IQ, and camaraderie of players, parents and coaches adds to the fun factor. It works! We finished our first season with a 0.523 win/loss average and were the Champions of the Austin Select Baseball’s Austin Classic and the Super Series Burnet April Fools Tournaments. We use baseball to teach our sons life lessons and sportsmanship to develop them as future leaders. Come on out and give us a try!
