Hello [NAME],

This communication is simply to make each CPYL member aware of some of the recent crimes in the CP and RR areas.    The intent is to raise the awareness so that each of us are more diligent in our efforts to hide our valuables and lock our cars. 

Last weekend, during our pre-season tournament there were 6 thefts that occured in the parking lot of our CPYL baseball complex.   In each case, purses or valuables were left in plain view (even though the doors were locked), the windows of the vehicles were broken and the purses and/or values taken from the cars. 

We feel that Cedar Park and Round Rock is still a safe place to live, but thieves will continue to take advantage of any opportunity that they are given.    As a result, please be sure to take the extra precaution to hide your valuables in your vehicles (out of sight, out of mind) and keep an eye out out for any suspicious activity.    The more people that we have watching, the less appealling our safe communities become to the thieves around us.
